Serial with UPiS

Post by hotwire911 » Wed Feb 04, 2015 4:28 pm

Hello All,

I'm a bit of a noob to the UPiS, I've read the documentation a couple of times, but I'm not 100% here and don't want to destroy something.

In the past I've used a serial module (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BXX ... UTF8&psc=1) to pull up the serial I/O on the RPi to 5v, I'm looking to do exactly this again with the UPiS, from what I read you can pass thru the serial from the RPi into the UPiS and have it pull up the I/O (to either 5v or 12v), here are my questions:

1) What do I need to set the serial matrix jumpers to?
2) Will I be able to access the serial port with exactly the same methods that I was able to use with the traditional RPi serial?
3) Any other magic I should be aware of?

Thank you,

Hotwire

Solved:

Figure 37 in manual for jumper settings.
/dev/TTYAMA0 is still device.
