Problems with HV1.0 and HV1.1

Post by Jannis » Sun Sep 03, 2017 12:16 am

I own 2x HV1.0 and 1x HV1.1. At least two of them show problems with the I2C communication. Setting values does not work and read values make no sense. Before I continue with my analysis including a fresh Raspbian install on the Raspberry Pi B+ I would like to ask which is the most stable firmware for HV1.0 and HV1.1? Which python pico status script is compatible to that firmware?

Hi,
This is problem with new kernel of 4.9. We are working on it, provide a solution for the HV3.0 however still not satisfied with it. Please use until we release new firmware the below solutions invited by other users, on our site working well. Raspberry Pi Org changed completely how they are clocking the I2C, and many times are reading 0xff. However both solutions provided here are working well, until we will solve it completely with the new firmware
