Upgrading UPS Pico firmware resulted in defective I2C

Post by hugocoolens » Mon Sep 26, 2016 10:42 pm

After installing the software for the UPS Pico on my rpi3 and having working everything fine, I decided to perform the firmware upgrade as is advised in the installation procedure.
After doing that I ended with a rpi3 with a defective i2c-bus, unable to communicate any longer over i2c. The only thing I could do was using another (new) rpi3 and of course this time I
did not perform the firmware upgrade. So be warned!

HI, We are doing that here hundred of times without problem. You probably made a wrong firmware update, please try it again using hand invoked bootloader as also having free rs232 on the PI3.
