Uploading firmware remotely

Post by pepino » Thu Feb 05, 2015 11:43 am

Hi,
I need use the pico interface but my firmware version is 1.00.
My problem is I can only access remotely to RPi+UPIS. Is there any way to put the UPIS in bootloader mode to update firmware with de python script?
Thank!

Hi,

If your system is powered from EPR or UPiS USB then try to do this one

sudo i2cset -y 1 0x6b 0x00 0xff && python picofu.py -f UPS_PIco.hex

it is same for the both UPiS and UPiS, however the PICo interface (i2c) has been implemented in later versions, so you need the first time to upload it manual and then use provided solution

Warmest Regards

[EDIT] I have not tested it remotely, but this is way we are uploading the firmware via SSH from command line. This remote upgrade will be completely solved in the firmware 2.0
Warmest Regards
