Re: Measuring Current Draw

That URL is for a PDF about a device series that is a range of linear thermal sensors - how is that related to knowing an I2C address for a current measurement?

Re: Firmware Updates - current Version 1.096

Hi, The actual version is covering most of old and some new requested issues. However there is a new version 2.0, going to be release just after Christmas holidays. It will closing hopefully all open issues and will contain also new updated manual. My Warmest Regards Pi Master Is there any chance t...

Re: Firmware Updates - current Version 1.096

It is approximately 2.5 years since the last firmware update for the UPiS despite the assertion "We do not kill our kids" it is hard to believe there has not been some sort of infanticide... :(

Re: GPIO Pins - Which ones are used by the PIco

...It's such a shame as the UPS Pico is a great product. I have 4! I've an older product (UPiS "Basic") and despite "them" saying they will keep supporting the old stuff we have been waiting for several years for updates and bug fixes (e.g. it is impossible to remotely tell whether the battery is c...

Re: UPiS remain in bat mode even when power is restored

You don't even have to lose power to not get the battery to charge. I've been running a RPi 2.0 (I think) so it has the older less efficient power regulator. It is being powered by a UPiS basic and has an attached 16x2 LCD display and some hardware that I am gradually coded stuff for (a relay, a 2 c...

Re: Suspicious Status information

Further cogitation on the meaning of text passed via the serial interface: do the following messages in the UPiS Version 1.00 firmware : Battery Charger ON Battery Charger OFF actually mean: "the charger is ENABLED and might charge the battery if conditions permit" "the charger has been DISABLED and...

Re: Problems uploading firmware

Your assertion "Minicom always seems to be there, even after a kill -9 on it" is not correct - that grep result is a false positive - it is detecting the searched for word "minicom" in the command line TO the grep command that the ps is including in it's result... bottom line:- there is NOT an insta...

Re: UPiS remain in BAT even if USB power come back

I'm seeing something which I think is similar with my UPiS basic attached to a RPi B - the trouble I think is that the current draw of ~500mA is right on the current limit for my 1.00 software and it does not like to turn the charger on automatically as that will take it up to around 720mA which I t...
